Organic
Solvents
- Achieve
statutory obligations contained in the Environmental Protection
Act by reducing organic solvent input by 20% (2000 litres) from
2001 base line year by year end 2004.
CO2
Emissions
- Neutralise
annual CO2 emissions from company petrol and diesel usage by tree
planting (carbon sinks) before the end of 2004.
Water
- Meet
Water Authority Discharge Consent.
Waste
- Meet
statutory obligations with regard to waste management contained
in Controlled Waste and Special Waste Regulations.
- Increase
weight of paper recycled to at least 1000 kg by year end 2003.
- Reduce
annual waste volume by at least 10% (130 bins) from 2001 base
line year by 2003 year end.
Site
- Progressively
improve the landscape of the site over the 3 year period 2002
- 2005, to lessen the negative visual impact of the plant.
- Wherever
possible limit the impact of the Company's operations on the local
community and environment.
Purchasing
- During
the 2 year period 2002 - 2003 introduce materials offering environmental
advantage which can be used as a substitute for PVC plastics.
Training
- Ensure
that all employees receive training or education in environmental
matters.
